“ I'm writing to say a heartfelt thank you for the incredible service that was provided to me this past weekend. | purchased my first home last month in November. While | have not moved in yet, | do have tenants that came with the house living in an apartment below. This is my first time owning a home, and also my first time living in a home that has oil for heat. | had been under the impression that | had much more oil in the tank than | actually did. So while figuring out and setting up_an oil delivery was on my list, it wasn't a priority while | juggling renovations, repairs and Christmas all at the same time! Saturday morning | received a text from my tenant as the furnace had turned off during the night and the apartment was quite cold. The furnace turned off as a result the oil tank running completely empty! In a panic, | called the two popular companies that | remember my real estate agent had mentioned when we were discussing houses that had oil. One | couldn't get an answer and the other wouldn't have anyone in my area until Thursday! I've seen Tapper's Oil trucks around town, so | thought I'd try you next. | can't remember the name of the lady who | was speaking with Saturday morning, but she was amazing to speak with and within minutes | had a'$750 order placed and could breathe a sigh of relief. (1 realized after the fact that my wallet was left in my office at work, so I'm extra thankful | could pay by e-transfer!) She told me that someone would be out in a couple of hours, | wasn't at the house when the delivery was made but in talking with my tenant I'd say it was closer within the hour. A few hours go by and my tenant advised me that someone had come by and filled the tank, but they thought there might be something wrong because although they had the temperature turned up, the apartment was still cold several hours later. | called Tappers Oil back, and explained that someone had been by and filled up the tank, but my tenant doesn't think the furnace is working. I'm not sure the man's name that | was speaking with, but he said he'd give me a call back in a couple of minutes. Sure enough, a few minutes later he called back saying that someone will stop by the house and take a look at the furnace for me! | figured it would be some time within a couple of hours, but I'd say less than 15 minutes later someone by the name of Bill was at the house looking at the furnace for me! He said where the oil tank ran completely empty all that needed to be done with the furnace was just a button needed to be pushed LOL! Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped out on Saturday. I'm pretty sure if | added up the time between all the phone calls it would still be less than the amount of time | spent waiting on hold to even talk to someone at one of the other companies. To the management of Tappers Oil I want to give a shout out to your Company and your driver that was in the area of Vinland road today for taking the time out of his day today as I was on the side of the road with a flat tire on my truck and a spare tire that was seized and unable to use your driver stopped to see if I was ok or needed any help as I explained to him what was going on he immediately got on his phone and called a friend that has a cabin near by and went and got a tire plug and a 12 volt air compressor and plugged my tire when he returned and got me back on the road I asked him what I owed him and his phone number and I would look after him when I returned to town and he refused and said that he was more than happy to help me and that they do other things besides keeping families warm thanks so much. ”
